Covid - light at the end of the tunnel

David Ainsworth • Feb 13, 2021

Getting back to normal?

Well the R rate is going down (again) and the vaccinations seem to be going well. For the first time in ages it appears that there is a light appearing at the end of the tunnel and with a bit of luck we can all start having fun again and meeting up with friends and family. Weddings, events and other shoots can all start to take place again.

After 12 months of cancellations and no bookings this is good news indeed but during the lockdowns and with the lack of work it has been nice to go for walks with my camera and just take photos for the sake of it. No deadlines or pressure just pure fun. It has rekindled my love of photography and I cannot wait to return to putting some of that rekindled passion back into my customers images.

If any of you do book me please remember that if the shoot cannot go ahead due to anything covid related then you will be given the choice of a 100% refund on any deposits or to rebook for another date.

Keep safe everyone, hopefully the worst is behind us and there are brighter days to come.

Well we now have a clearer view of our route out of the Covid lockdown and all being well summer should be a good one this year. On top of that the days are getting longer and the temperature is slowly rising so spirits are lifting. The phone is starting to ring and the bookings are coming in once again and I cannot wait to get photographing peoples special days and capturing those fantastic memories. We have all come so far in the past year and experienced something none of us ever expected but we are coming through it all and everything is starting to look positive once again. Keep your chins up we are nearly there.

Well, as this Covid-19 thing is still going on and we are still on a full lockdown I find myself, like many others, with plenty of spare time on my hands as there is next to no photography work due to government restrictions. I have always loved carrot cake but never done any baking so I thought now is the ideal time to give it a go and create a masterpiece.. My first attempt was going well until I tried to move it halfway through cooking and dropped it which created a massive mess all over the kitchen floor. After much swearing and the dogs assisting me with clearing it all up I had a second attempt and I must say It was really very good. Its got me into baking now so will be trying fruit scones next. Lockdown does have its positive side so try not to let it get you down and use the time to learn things you never usually have the time for. It's never to late to learn new skills and the feelgood factor of accomplishing something make it worthwhile.

Hi, welcome to my new website. During this never ending covid crisis work has pretty much dried up so I thought I would use the time I now have to rebrand my business. I have been operating as Bokeh Photography since 2011 but that has now gone and become simply David Ainsworth Photography. It is something I have meant to do for years but never had the time. By using just my name I feel it reflects better on my business which offers a personal, person centered approach to all of my wonderful clients. I hope you enjoy browsing my site and looking at the services I can offer you and hopefully meeting some of you to capture some of you treasured moments. Follow me on my social media platforms or visit this blog to keep up to date on any offers or news .
